All are Welcome

No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome at Wollaston Congregational Church, United Church of Christ (UCC). Our bylaws state that: “… membership is open to all and the church does not discriminate against persons based on race, color, previous religion or denomination, abilities or disabilities, marital status, national origin or ancestry, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other protected class as designated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or as determined by the United Church of Christ.”

See our new “Who We Are” page:  Who We Are

Here is one of our new members, Rhea Ranno, who was baptized on Easter

We celebrate the sacrament of communion at least once per month, typically during Sunday worship on the first Sunday of each month. A typical welcome to our communion table includes the following:

“This is an open and welcoming table, all are invited. Whether you are well off, or struggling get by, whether you are one of our elders, or brand new to the world, whether you are gay or straight, whatever the color or hue of your skin, whatever the size or shape of your body … you are welcome at this table. There are no special requirements to participate in communion at Wollaston Congregational Church. You do not need to be educated in the ways of church, you do not need to be baptized or confirmed. You simply need to be hungry for God’s love, made known in Jesus Christ.”

We offer gluten-free options for communion and we only ever serve non-alcoholic grape juice in the communion cup. We believe that there should be no barrier for anyone coming to the communion table.
